Special solid beeswax for meerschaum pipe finishing.

How To Use: Once you have completed carving your pipe, it is time to wax it. First of all, you need to melt the solid wax in a pot until it comes to a state of liquid. Regarding to the volume of wax to be melt, choose the appropriate pot which is deep enough to dip the pipe bowl entirely in the wax. Without reaching the boiling point, warm up the wax. A temperature of 60 - 70 degree centigrade would be adequate to catch the moment right after the smoke rises. Before dipping the pipe in the wax, make sure that both brims are secured to disallow the wax liquid to leak into. You can use corks for this. Then allow the pipe to stay in the wax about 15 min. Take it out of the wax and allow it to dry and cool. Then wipe it with a soft fabric to polish up. You can save the rest of the wax for future use, of course. When the wax gets cold completely, its consistency becomes a cheddar-like.
